Yom Yerushalayim, also known as Jerusalem Day, commemorates Jerusalem's reunification in 1967. This day begins on 28th day of the month of Iyyar in the Hebrew calendar thus placing it between Independence Day and Shavuot
Yom Yerushalayim is not a religious holiday yet following the model of Yom Haatzmaut this day should us marked with the recital of psalms of praise, The Hallel, and with the lengthier version of Psukei Zimra. The Jerusalem day is a regular working day yet it is marked with Flag parade; Ceremony at the Kotel, the Western Wall, and special ceremonies in the Military cemetery of Jerusalem and in the Knesset, the Israeli parliament.
